Bearing False Witness on Health Care Reform?

On a phone call arranged this week purportedly to address people of faith, President Obama accused those who opposed the health care overhaul supported by his Administration of "bearing false witness." This accusation is an insult to millions of Christians who don't believe they are bearing false witness, but, in fact, believe they are exposing some important truths.

President Obama also said on the call that government funding of abortion would not be included in the health care bill. This is strange, given past pronouncements on the matter by the President and other members of his Administration. Consider also the fact that the current bill would allow for taxpayer funding of abortions, and numerous attempts to ensure the legislation was abortion neutral were voted down by members of the President's own party in Congress.

FRC Action has dispatched a letter to the White House asking them for a discussion on these issues so that the Administration might clarify these discrepancies and take the opportunity to line up their speech with their actions. Please contact the White House today, and urge them to accept our offer to face this life-and-death issue head-on.

Who's "Bearing False Witness" ?

I get very upset when Obama pulls God's word out of context to use it for his own purpose. He was up to his old tricks again last week when he spoke with faith-based leaders about our 'moral responsibility' to provide health care to all ... then Obama had to resort to his ole dependable friend and hero Alinsky to insult and ridicule all of us that disagree with obamacare as 'bearing false witness'! Yet again, Obama's arrogance shows it's ugly face as he declares he is a "partner with God" in life and death issues and if we don't walk his walk and talk his talk we are liars. Let's review 'bearing false witness'. Obama said he wants a single payer system and govt would have to implement this change slowly. Then he said, "I never said I want a single payer system". He said the stimulus would 'create' and 'save' jobs and unemployment would not drop below 8% . Unemployment has plunged to 9.5% as Americans continue to lose their jobs. He said there was NO pork or earmarks in his porkulus bill and we all know that was a blatant untruth! Obama's stimulus stimulated the politician, period! Obama said he did not want to run the banks or the auto industry as his administration was in full take over mode of both! Obama said he would cut the deficit and he has spent more money in 7 months then any President in history. I could go on and on! How dare he accuse Americans of 'bearing false witness'! Hey O, since you insists on using Scripture to back up your socialist agenda for our country, here's one for you. Jesus said, "Let Your YES be YES and Your NO be NO!" So, who's bearing false witness?

President Obama is distancing himself from the National Day of Prayer by nixing a formal early morning service and not attending a large Catholic prayer breakfast the next morning.

All Mr. Obama will do for the National Day of Prayer, which is Thursday, is sign a proclamation honoring the day, which originated in 1952 when Congress set aside the first Thursday in May for the observance.

For the past eight years, President George W. Bush invited selected Christian and Jewish leaders to the White House East Room, where he typically would give a short speech and several leaders offered prayers...

"Testing" Gov't Run Health Care

The object of your trust has to be trustworthy! What a great way to make that point. The government has not been proven trustworthy in the handling of social security, overseeing medicare fraud, veterans care, etc. Why should we trust them with something so important as our health care...our lives? More government bureaucracy is not the way to fix our health care!

Actually, I hate that Obama and his lib mob call it 'health care' reform! There is nothing wrong with health care in America! We are blessed with brilliant doctors, surgeons and with the most advanced medical technology and medical research in the world. In 'Obamaland' this is not about 'health' or 'care'! This is about Govt. power and control over 'We the People'! Obamacare is Obama behavior modification! Obamacare is complete and total control over our lives! You know what I say to that...STEP OFF!!

Hey Obama, I'm just a simple Ozark gal but I have a few ideas. Regulate the health insurance industry and hospital costs. Require those that can afford health insurance to purchase health insurance. Provide catastrophic health insurance. TORT REFORM! And for the few millions of Americans that have no medical insurance, provide health clinics and for the rest...send them back to Mexico!
